Hello, I’m Ms. Karen!

I am a private tutor and education advisor with over 10 years of experience. I specialize in all subjects Grades 1-10 / Grades 11-12 Writing & Humanities / ESL IELTS CELPIP, and in IEP's catering to specific learning needs and extended (gifted) learning.

I am trilingual (English, Cantonese, & Mandarin) when needed but teaching is in English always. I am here to mentor and facilitate growth and learning every step of the way.

I believe that all learners are innately intelligent and meeting students where they with customized learning paths is the way to go. My approach blends compassion, critical thinking, and even ethical guidance in how best to use AI tools.

Every learner deserves a supportive environment to excel, and I’d love to help you and your child reach their goals.

“I met Ms. Karen at my eldest son’s private school in 2014 and later reached out privately and eventually hired her as my two younger children’s homeschool teacher. Over the last 6 years, she has supported us from school to homeschooling and during our relocation from Hong Kong to Melbourne. She has aligned my kids learning needs to the changing benchmarks and keeps me up to date regularly with evidence. They have both assessed 1-2 academic years ahead at a private school. My son was placed 2 years ahead at our choice school and my youngest daughter continues to choose to homeschool with her. Her ability to plan and teach both in-person and online have allowed my children to live a fun and flexible lifestyle while staying curious and passionate about learning. I would absolutely recommend her to other students and parents!"

What Clients are Saying

"Ms. Karen has taught my son since Grade 3 and now at Grade 11, she’s not only tutoring him but helping us with his university planning and applications. She’s helped us beyond a subject tutor and I could not have imagined our journey without her. She’s caring, passionate, and a natural with children and teenagers. I am always confident that everything is covered…from my son’s mindset, understanding, how to plan his time and energy, covering across his core and elective subjects…you name it! He’s matured a lot under her mentorship and teaching and I am grateful to have found her many years ago online."
